For two nights on Winter 41 and 42, all three of Amaia’s moons are full in the sky. This is called “Homecoming” in most cultures on the planet (including Elim’s Southern frontier and the Northern kingdom of Tajan) and is a celebration of family and social cohesion. In Onossilya, each district holds a special festival to highlight the city’s union as a racial family.
Most families, whether blood-related or socially bonded, try to spend these two nights in Winter together. Family disagreements are set aside and everyone is expected to embrace each other in a spirit of peace and love, remembering how important they are to each other. This festival is also a period of forgiveness, allowing old hurts to pass and familial loyalty to win over personal pride.
